Biography
Born in the USA, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1962-3), and graduated in the University of Minnesota (64-66), and Hunter College Graduate School, New York (1968-70). His first solo exhibition was held at the Holly Solomon Galery, New York, in the beginning of the seventies, when he was a member of the group “Pattern and Decoration Painting”. He shows regularly in exhibitions since 1964. The Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, has acquired his first artwork in 1973. Since1989 Brad Davis and his wife Janis Provisor are involved in initiatives of the Fort Street Studio in New York.
