Biography
British sculptur born in Luton, Bedforshire. Studied at the Luton College of Technology and Art, Bedfordshire (1951-56). In 1962, began to work as a sculptor and participated at the exhibition "Young Contemporaries", RBA Galleries, London. During 1962-64 worked as pawn-broker in London. In 1965 became lecturer at Maidstone School of Art, Kent. Started to make chrome-plated sculptures of steel, brass and bronze, depicting both everyday objects - newspapers, boots, bottles - and objects connected with work of famous painters, such as Van Gogh's chair. In 1968 he had his first one-person exhibition at Robert Fraser, Gallery, London. Selected exhibitions: 1977, British Artists of the 60s, Tate Gallery, 1987, Pop Art - UK, USA, Odakyu Grand Gallery, Tokyo. Lives in London.
