Biography
Mexican artist born in Mœzquiz, Coahuila. He studied Architecture between 1978 and 1982 but his taste for art led to his participation in the Plastic Arts Salon organised by the National Institute for Fine Arts, where he took first prize. He had many exhibitions in several cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Amsterdam, New York and Paris. He also participated in collective exhibitions, either in Mexico or abroad. In 1979, he received the prize Segundo Premio Laureados de Pintura given by the Centro de Arte Vitro in Monterrey in Mexico and, in 1981, the Primer Premio de Adquisición at the Salón Annual de la Plastica in the Fine Arts Palace in Mexico City. In 1994, he received the MARCO prize.
