Biography
Bridget Jones is a British photographer who studied photography at the London College of Printing and began her career working in the studios of Alistair Thain and the artists Gilbert and George. Fuji sponsored a trip to photograph the people of the Okovango Delta in Botswana. Many portrait commissions followed as well as editorial work for The Times newspaper and the Sunday Times and Independent magazines. Bridget Jones has photographed movie stars such as Sir Anthony Hopkins, Frances McDormand and Jude Law as well as many leading figures in the arts world including composer Michael Nyman, opera singer Emma Shapplin and Turner Prize-winner Gillian Wearing. Other subjects have nothing to do with the world of celebrity and current projects include a series of photographs of women in aprons and a book of twins. There have been several exhibitions of Bridget Jones photographs in London. This year her work was shown at the opening of the Museu Berardo in Lisbon.
