The exhibition that is now being shown at Museu Coleção Berardo is the most comprehensive and significant anthology ever staged of the works of Nikias Skapinakis, one of the most prominent Portuguese artists of the second half of the twentieth century.

This exhibition, curated by Raquel Henriques da Silva, is arranged in seven groups that reveal the amazing range and diversity, as well as the countless formal and expressive possibilities, of the work that Nikias Skapinakis has undertaken for over sixty years.
His unique ability for pictorial synthesis and the continuous dialogue - defined in is paintings - that he has established with Western culture highlight the meaning and value of the artist's contribution.
